A Future and a Hope
Have you ever thought about why you were born? Why you are here? "What is
the purpose of my life"? It would be a fairly safe assumption to guess that most
people have had these questions. God, the creator of all that there is, said,
through the prophet Jeremiah;
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for
good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when
you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when
you seek me. I will be found by you," says the LORD. (Jer. 29:11-14)
This incredible promise is for you! You are not here by some accident of
birth! God has a very special and unique destiny for you! Yet, perhaps at this
very moment you may not feel this way. Perhaps you're going through a "tough
time". However, His promise is that if you would seek Him with all your heart
and call upon Him, you will find Him and He will bring you peace, and give you
hope for the future! With all the daily issues of life it is easy to become so
caught up with, "just trying to get by, day by day" that we become too dulled in
our spirits to sense the eternal realities of God's life and purpose.
Has anyone ever told you that God has a wonderful plan for your life?
Please allow me to share with you what really matters, what it means to fulfill
your destiny. It doesn't matter how successful you are in other matters if you
miss this!
God has a unique purpose and destiny for you. That future and hope is to
be found in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "…I have come that they may have life, and
that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
Your true purpose and destiny cannot be fulfilled apart from Jesus
Christ.
The apostle Paul said;
"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so
that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Eph 2:10)
What are you doing right now that will be important to you 100 years from
today? Only God can create you anew, and He has made a way for you to have a
future and a hope! He sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die a bloody
death on the cross, for the forgiveness of your sins.
"Jesus was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for
our justification." (Romans 4:5). so that we could receive a new life! Right
now! God will give you that new life, if you will admit your guilt before Him,
and accept the sacrifice of Jesus to wash away your sins. "[For] the free gift
of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Jesus promises:
"I assure you, anyone who believes in me already has eternal life. Yes, I
am the bread of life! (John 6:47 -48)
You are missing God's destiny for your life if you fail to respond to His
message of life in Jesus Christ!
Do you want to begin to walk in your destiny? Would you like your life to
change? Will you make a decision to give your life to Jesus Christ right
now?
It's simple here's how!
1. REPENT:
Now repentance is not merely feeling sorry for your sins, but it means to
turn from them never intending to do them again.
2. CONFESS: All known sin to God. Ask Him to forgive you in the name of
Jesus.
3. RECEIVE: Jesus by asking Him to come into your life as Lord.
HERE'S A SHORT PRAYER TO HELP YOU GET STARTED:
Oh Lord God, I surrender my life to you. Create me anew in Jesus
Christ!
I believe you are the son of God, and that you died on the cross for MY
sins. Forgive me now Lord and cleanse me. Come into my heart and give me a new
life. Thank You Jesus for hearing and answering my prayer.
Amen!
